Nandos Chilli Tree Ceiling
Nandos Restaurant Brent Cross

Ceiling Detail of Nandos Brent Cross.
Pippy Oak veneer on fire rated MDF.

The Architect supplied a 2D CAD file (dwg) full size with the ceiling wall joining points.
From the dwg file we created a 3D surface model using Rhino3D, then we broke the tree in to the largest pieces possible.
All the joints were curved to avoid obvious joint lines and took a lot of time to get right.
The boards were custom veneered either long grain or short grain as required.
We also had a few sheets veneered at a 45 degree angle.
A lot of interaction with the architect on this project.
Early contact is vital with this type of work.
